Hotel Allegro was again named one of the top Chicago hotels for weddings in The Knot's annual guide featuring the best-of-the-best wedding resources as selected by real brides.
Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association StayGreen Designation (2009)
Hotel Allegro earned the IHLA's StayGreen designation for successfully implementing the StayGreen Recycling and Waste Minimization Program.
Care with Dignity Award (February 2009)
Chicago Kimpton Hotels were awarded the "Care with Dignity" Award from AIDSCare Chicago, a not-for-profit providing housing and care services to people living with HIV/AIDS. The award is given to a company that actively supports AIDSCare Chicago by raising awareness and financial support for the organization.
Green Seal™ Silver Certification (October 2008)
Hotel Allegro was among the first five hotels in Illinois to earn certification for its sustainable practices, presented in a ceremony with Mayor Richard M. Daley.
Environmental Hall of Fame (November 2008)
Chicago Kimpton Hotels became the first hotel company to be inducted into the Environmental Hall of Fame, at a ceremony held in the Hotel Allegro's historic Walnut Room, along with actors Pierce Brosnan and wife Keely Shaye Brosnan.
