Hotel Allegro: Reviews of Our Downtown Chicago Hotel

If these walls could talk...We appreciate that so many of our guests take time to talk about their experiences at our hotel. See what people have said about us recently.

This is the Place that made it easy
"The Concierge, Anthony, was simply the best. He coordinated our whole weekend and didn't flinch with our high maintenance requests and relentless questions. The ENTIRE staff at the Allegro was service orientated, friendly, smiling and just simply a home run. We asked for a coffeemaker--they got it. We asked for a blanket--they got it. We asked for water--they got it. We missed the happy hour --THEY GAVE US 2 FREE WINE certificates at the bar!"

Great value and location in Chicago
"Stayed here on business in Sept. Service was excellent, the room was spacious, clean and quiet. I was surprised I was in the middle of the city, because I did not hear a thing from my room! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and shower quite nice. I wasn't able to hit the wine hour because of business commitments but the front desk clerk was nice enough to offer a free glass of wine in the restaurant since I checked in after it ended. I thought that was a very nice touch. Great location in the city, close to the El and lots of shopping/restaurants/attractions. Highly recommend!"

Stylish Hotel in a great neighborhood
"At the Hotel Allegro, the staff and service were impeccable. Entire staff were thoughtful and attentive to detail. The Art Deco style boutique hotel offers welcome wine (coffee in am) in the vibrantly decorated, spacious lobby. Our room (2 doubles) had a fun view of the L, was generous in size--nice space for 2 adults and 2 children--and decorated with sophisticated style. Located in The Loop, Hotel Allegro is accessible to many activities. As it is also within the theater district, the neighborhood is lively and exciting--near restaurants and rooftop bars. The hotel is only blocks from the Chicago river (accessible to the River Walk and river/lake tours), a 10-minute walk from Millennium Park where 'The Bean' is a big attraction and also walkable to the Magnificent Mile."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the Chicago theater district. We sure enjoyed our stay."

Friendly staff keep us coming back
"We especially appreciate the friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff at the Allegro, from the front desk to housekeeping. We also like the comfortable rooms and the spacious "living room" on the lobby level, but it's the outstanding service that keeps us coming back."

Personal and Attentive service enhance the hip ambience
"Our stay at the Hotel Allegro Chicago far exceeded our expectations. From the quick and ease of the check in and out to the attentive staff who appeared as travel guides to better navigate our tour of the city, our vacation was truly enhanced due to our stay. Located in the heart of the city, every possible destination was a short distance from its front door. In many ways, I had wished that we had no commitments so that we could stay in and better utilize the ambience of very chic boutique hotel. There is no doubt that I will seek out staying here again the next trip to Chicago."

Comfort, convenience, food, entertainment...I keep coming back for more!
"This hotel is amid many things I enjoy in Chicago and handy to Union Station if you enjoy train travel. I booked the King Suite, which I thought was well arranged and well decorated. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, they clearly wanted to go the extra mile for my comfort. I dined at both the 312 and Encore, the food exceeded my expectations, the bread really impressed me. I have met some very interesting people at the social hour in the evening, which I especially appreciate when I'm traveling alone. On this trip "West Side Story" was showing at the Palace Theater adjacent to the hotel and I caught another show at Strawdog Theater in Lincoln Park. It was fun to take in productions large and small!"

Ok, I just had the best experience at this hotel!
Our flight arrived at 9 am into Chicago and it was pouring rain. We couldn't carry our bags around all day in the rain so we thought we'd just hang out in the hotel lobby for the morning until we were able to check in. When the staff saw us arrive they said we could pre-register and they would hold our bags for us until the room was ready. They also took my cell number so they could call me when the room was ready. They put our room on the "high priority list" so it would be prepared for us to check in very quickly. Not only did they hold our bags and let us pre-register, but they also gave us umbrellas to use so we could comfortably take a walk and explore a little while we waited for our room. When we came back to check in the staff remembered my name and had my bags waiting for me by the time I had the room key. They were very friendly and one of them even made me laugh. I was astounded by the help my friends received throughout our stay. We had dinner and breakfast at 312 Chicago and both meals were amazing! The concierge was helpful with questions about sending packages back to Australia and the front desk was able to answer so many questions about the activities, transportation and everything else during our stay. I am just really thankful that we chose to come to this hotel when there were so many in the area."
